Bachmann has agreed to three debates, including one on Oct. 30 at the River’s Edge Convention Center in St. Cloud, her campaign says. The others will be on Minnesota Public Radio on Nov. 1 and on KSTP-TV on Nov. 4.
Bachmann campaign manager Chase Kroll wrote in an email that many differences already are apparent between the candidates. He pointed to their views on abortion — Graves is for abortion rights and Bachmann is anti-abortion — and on President Barack Obama’s health care overhaul, parts of which Graves has praised but which Bachmann has crusaded to repeal.
“The choice is already very clear,” Kroll wrote.
Here’s the schedule for the debates agreed to thus far by Bachmann and Graves:
• 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Oct. 30, River’s Edge Convention Center, sponsored by the St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce, the city of St. Cloud and Rotary Club of St. Cloud. The event is open to the public, according to Chamber President Teresa Bohnen.
• 11 a.m. to noon, Nov. 1, MPR.
• 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Nov. 4, KSTP-TV’s At Issue.
