Recent Natural Disasters

• Flooding across northern and central Italy
  -Flood killed four people in southern Tuscany. Three people were killed when a car fell off a collapsed bridge near the town of Grosseto in central Italy and another one died in his car when it was submerged by water.
  -Both Tiber and Aniene broke their banks.
  -Ponte Milvio bridge, Rome’s most historic bridges was also closed. The level of the Tiber was rising near St Peter’s Basilica in Rome today.
  -According to measurements taken by the Scripps Institution of Oceanography at the University of California, the Venice is sinking up to two millimeters per year (Photo: An aerial view of flood water covering the area around the town of Orte, near Rome, Italy; AP)

• Tropical Depression Twentyfive
  -As of 01:00 UTC, TD Twentyfive was located  148 nm south-southeast of Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam.
  -Tropical depression Twentyfive is forecast to hit Thailand as a tropical storm on 17th November.
