  -Forest fire in Gulmi, Nepal has burned 800 hectares.

• M 2.6 weak shallow earthquake in Bosnia and Herzegovina (@ 2 km depth) with epicenter located 4 km SW of Kakanj. Weak tremor will have felt as far as Sarajevo.

• The International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) and the Ministry of Forest and Soil Conservation (MoFSC) has launched forest fire detection and monitoring system in Nepal. It claims to provide near real-time detection of forest fires in Nepal.
