Downing trees and power lines have also been reported in Asheville and Western North Carolina.

According to Progress Energy, more than 2,000 customers are without electricity in Buncombe.

Dozen of trees are down in Buncombe County. At least three cars damaged near Kenilworth Presbyterian Church, Buncombe emergency dispatchers says.

The National Weather Service had issued flood watches and warnings for all of Western North Carolina.

According to weather bureau, there is 70 percent chance of rain today. More rainfalls are predicted through Monday night into Tuesday.

Remnants of Hurricanes Frances and Ivan caused major flooding in Asheville in 2004.
