Infographics have been used around the world to conceptualise the reasoning behind fossil divestment. The President of the World Bank, the UN Secretary General and the Executive Secretary of the UNFCCC are all talking about the need to tackle climate change and the risk of fossil fuel reserves being completely devalued with the necessary move to a low-carbon society.
It is vital that universities lobby for the creation of fossil free investment options that avoid the pitfalls of other ethical investments. Invest in Birmingham, invest in co-operatives, invest in solutions to our problems as well as research to solve them.
