Think Outside the Lines
Geo Law is a kick ass designer/illustrator with an equally kick ass sketchbook! If you are a designer, you understand the importance of keeping a sketchbook to express yourself and keep those creative juices flowing for the simple reason that you're typically designing for the client's needs, not necessarily what appeals to the artist in you. Not only do I love the characters illustrated in this sketchbook, but I love the way he adds splashes of colors in the form of funky patterns, rather than just flat-out coloring inside the lines. It gives his drawings a unique spin, and the different layers produce a sense of movement throughout the pages. The bursting with a variety of expressions keeps his work playful and intriguing.
