But the makers of this microscopic device clearly believe good things come in tiny packages, after inventing the world's smallest commercially-available camera.
The miniature one inch-squared camera can amazingly take two megapixel images and can even shoot video.
Finger-sized fun: The miniscule camera is around the size of a fingertip, but can take two megapixel images and shoot video
Its makers in New York insist the 28-gram device works perfectly well, despite being the size of a marble and no bigger than a fingertip.
American firm Hammacher Schlememr created the gadget, which is set to hit the shelves for $99.95 (£63.79).
Hammacher Schlemmer's General Manager, Fred Berns, said: 'Although The World's Smallest Camera is only slightly larger than a marble, it takes still images and records video just like much larger cameras.
'It comes with a wrist lanyard that keeps it close to hand and enables ease of portability.'
The World's Smallest Camera, as boasted by its makers, can take JPEG images with a resolution of 1600 x 1200 and comes complete with autofocus.
The camera also connects to a computer via a USB cable, just like regular pieces of photography equipment.
