Monitoring a Battery health is a vital thing to do if you want to maintain a good lifespan of your Macbook battery.

This 542Kb App (!) can be used to monitor normal parameters like current Charge level, maximum charge, maximum charge, currently capacity and design capacity.
It also displays some critical parameters of battery like Battery Load cycle, Temperature and Power usage.
Recently It has added a online service through which you can compare your battery stats over a period with others and you can approximately get a idea about when the battery will become dead.
