HTC, the renowned smartphone company has added two new members, Desire 820G+ and Desire 626G+ dual sim to its family. Launched in Taiwan, Desire 820G+ packs a decent set of specifications with 5.5-inch display, 1GB RAM, and octa-core chipset clocked at a speed of 1.7 GHz. The device has been launched at a price of TWD 5,990 (approximately Rs. 12,350), and has been restricted only to Taiwan as of now.
The dual-sim HTC 820G+ runs on Android KitKat out-of-the box, and boasts a high definition display with 13MP primary and 8MP as secondary camera. With 16 gigs of inbuilt memory, the storage of this device is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. The device features standardized HTC finish and gives a premium look from all aspects. It also supports standard connectivity options with EDGE, GPS/ A-GPS, 3G and Micro-USB, but the latest connectivity upgrade 4G LTE is not supported by the device. It has been backed by a long-lasting battery of 2600mAh, and can easily deliver 12 hours of talk-time with no issues.
Talking about the weight, the HTC 820G+ weighs around 155 grams, and is slightly heavier to hold for routine users. Just like other HTC devices, Desire 820G+ also supports HTC DotView cases.
Along with Desire 820G+, Desire 626G+ dual sim has been launched in Taiwan. This smartphone was launched in India in the month of April, and has been powered with 1GB of RAM, and an octa-core chipset of 1.7 GHz. The primary of this device is a 13MP shooter, and front-facing camera is a 5MP shooter. Inbuilt storage packed of device is 8GB, and can be easily expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.
Just like Desire 820G+, 626G+ also runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the box polished with HTC BlinkFeed and Sense UI. With standard connectivity options of Wi-Fi, 3G, Edge, and Bluetooth, the performance of this device is backed by a 2000mAH non-removable battery. It weighs around 138 grams, and will be rolling in two color variants, Blue Lagoon & White Birch.
In India, HTC Desire 626G+ was launched at a hefty price tag of Rs.16,900. Although, it price went down and was sold around 15k by several online retailers. Both devices are almost same in terms of features, but slight variance is camera and hardware specifications creates the line of difference between the two.
