HTC One A9 Listed By French Carrier Orange Ahead Of October 20 Launch
Just before HTC’s official launch event, a French carrier Orange has listed the highly rumored One A9 smartphone with its specs and pricing. The phone is speculated to sport an iPhone like design language, and has created a buzz in last few months. It has also been tipped to run Android 6.0 Marshmallow with company’s own custom skin.
According to the listing which has been removed now, the HTC One A9 will be coming at a price tag of EUR 599, which is approximately Rs. 44,500 in Indian currency. As the earlier leaks suggested, the Android 6.0 Marshmallow based device has been tipped to feature a Full-HD display of 5-inches, a 13-megapixel rear camera, and a 4 Ultra-pixel front-facing shooter.
Recent leaks also suggested that the device will feature an iPhone 6s inspired metal-clad body with a thickness of 7mm. Other elements of the device leaked earlier included 2GB of RAM, 16 gigs of built-in storage, expandability via micro-SD card and a decent 2,150mAh non-removable battery.
In listing featured by orange, the look and feel of HTC One A9 looked completely inspired from the iPhone 6 and 6S. The images collaborated with earlier leaks and featured curved edges and two wireless antenna lines running on the top and bottom edge of the phone. The front-panel features a good-looking display with a slightly tweaked home-button right at the bottom. The shape of the button has been changed, but it’s expected to bear fingerprint sensor as well. Along with this, the placement of camera module also looks slightly tweaked, when compared to the iPhone. The design of camera and the flash appears to be same but it’s placed on the center, instead of upper left corner. Images could clear depict that left side of the HTC One A9 will include slots for SIM and micro-SD card, while right side of the device will house power and volume rockers.
HTC has already started sending out press invites for the Tuesday event. The invite from the company clearly says, “Meet the Marshmallow from HTC,” which takes us all to the same note that the new beauty from the Taiwanese tech-giant will bringing the best and sweetest Android of all times. The event has been scheduled at 12PM ET, which is 9.30PM as per Indian Standard Time.
