Acer Aspire R14 Laptop, Aspire Z3-700 AIO, Windows 10 Powered Devices Unveiled
At an event in Taipei, renowned tech giant Acer has shown-off a new range of Windows 10 powered devices, which includes Acer Aspire R14 hybrid notebook and Aspire Z3-700 All-in-One PC.
The new Acer Aspire R14 boasts a 360-degree torque hinge to transform into different modes seamlessly. It features a 14-inch full-HD multi-touch display, and powers up by Intel’s 6th generation processors, where users have a choice between Core i7-6500U or a Core i5-6200U. It pairs up with 8GB of DDR3L RAM, up to 512GB SSD, and will ship with Wi-Fi ac with MU-MIMO technology. Aspire R14 will be running Windows 10 out-of-the box, and is expected to show-up in North-American and European regions by the end of October starting from $699 (approximately Rs. 45,300) and EUR 799 (approximatel Rs. 59,000) respectively.
Along with convertibles, Acer also introduced a brand new All-in-One PC for power users. The power-packed Acer Aspire Z3-700 comes with a built-in battery that can last up to 5 hours, and features a 17.3-inch full-HD display supporting 10-point multi-touch for Windows. It comes with the choice of Celeron N3150 or Pentium N3700 processor paired with 8GB of DDR3 RAM, and packs the option of 256GB of Solid State Drive (SSD) or 500 gigs of Hard Disk Drive (HDD). It will be shipping with Windows 10 by the end of this year at EUR 799, which is approximately Rs. 59,000 in Indian currency.
At the event, Acer also showcased the prototype of its upcoming Windows 10 mobile-based flagship smartphone, Liquid Jade Primo. The smartphone will be offering support for Continuum, and will come with a bunch of impressive features to take on other high-end phones rolling in the market. In a nutshell, the sleek and compact handset looked really great and offered almost the same set of specs as on Microsoft Lumia 950. It featured a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 808 SoC, and featured a 21-megapixel sensor with its rear facing camera.
The final version of Acer Liquid Jade Primo is yet awaited, but seeing this prototype, we can definitely expect something big from Acer in the final version. There is no word on its launch date, but it is speculated that the phone could come around the same time when Lumia flagships will hit the market.
