HTC’s latest mid-range offering, the Desire 828 Dual SIM, is now listed on company’s official China website. The new device brings an improved set of specs compared to its predecessors, and is also up for pre-orders via company’s official online store. It has been priced at CNY 1,599, which is approximately 16,500 in the Indian currency. However, we all know the price of this handset phone will increase in India and other markets, but as of now, the Taiwanese company has no word on the wider availability of this powerful smartphone.
The new HTC Desire 828 Dual brings an immersive viewing experience with its 5.5-inch full-HD IPS display. The device features more than 400 pixels per-inch, and powers up by MediaTek’s Octa-Core MT6753 chip clocked at 1.5GHz, coupled with 2GB of RAM. One of the biggest things that HTC has been touting since the introduction of this device is the addition of Optical Image Stabilization. According to the company, it’s their first smartphone in Desire lineup which packs an improved 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, OIS, and BSI sensor, and a 4-ultra pixel front-facing shooter again with a BSI sensor.
The handset runs Android 5.1.1 lollipop with HTC Sense 6.0 skin on-the top, and boasts 16GB of inbuilt storage with added support for expandability via micro-SD card. You can expand the storage options on this device up to 200GB. Moreover, as for connectivity, HTC Desire 828 Dual packs decent support with a bunch of options that include, Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, FM Radio, GPRS/EDGE, Micro-USB, Bluetooth, and A-GPS. It offers support LTE bands deployed in India, and boasts a slew of sensors (accelerometer, proximity, and ambient light sensor) as well. It includes Nano SIM card slots, rather than micro-SIM card slots or the standard ones.
For top-tier performance, HTC Desire 828 Dual has been backed by a humongous 2800mAh battery. It offers sufficient charge for work and play, and promises an entire day without running down of power. The handset feels quite sleek with a thickness of 7.9mm, and comes with a plethora of HTC specific features such as the Boom Sound technology combined Dolby Audio for producing clear and bass-rich music with complete perfection.
