Soon after launching the R7 in the global market, Chinese smartphone vendor Oppo has introduced its all-new Neo 7 with a tempting set of hardware and software specs. The device is currently listed on Oppo’s official website, but its pricing and available details are still under the wraps. You can expect this phone to hit the shelves in next few days.
As for specifications, the latest mid-range beauty from Oppo runs Android 5.1 Lollipop based ColorOS 2.1, and features a powerful 5-inch qHD display with screen resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. It delivers a decent visual experience and powers up by a quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz and paired with 1GB RAM and Adreno 306GPU. The built-in-storage equipped with this handset is 16GB, and there will be additional support for expandability via micro-SD card up to a 128GB.
On the camera department, Oppo Neo 7 boasts an 8-megapixel rear camera with flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter. It promises decent photography in lowlight and daylight environments and houses a decent 2,420mAh battery for non-stop work and play throughout the day.
For connectivity, the dual-SIM cased Oppo Neo 7 features one micro-SIM card slot and other Nano SIM card slot. It offers support for standard connectivity elements (Wi-Fi, 3G, GPS, GPRS/EDGE, Micro-USB), and also includes 4G LTE connectivity.
Neo 7 weighs at 141 grams, tips on the scale at 7.55mm, and will come in Black and White color options. It will offer a plethora of sensors, and will also come in an India-specific variant offering support LTE bands deployed in the country. Notably, the Indian version of the device was also listed on company website.
In the listing of Neo 7, the company clearly touts that screen of this handset lights up dark environments to brighten up the quality of selfies in low-light environments. Thus, it will also include a light-sensitive sensor which can adjust screen brightness according to the available light.
Last week, the company also introduced R7s at an event in Dubai. The powerful mid-range device packed a 5.5-inch full-HD display and powered up by an octa-core Snapdragon 615 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM. It packed immense amount of power and ran Android 5.1 Lollipop-based ColorOs2.1 right out-of-the box. As of now, there is no word on it’s or launch or availability in India.
