LeTV, the famous hardware company from China, and running online video service by the same name is now expanding into the world of Virtual Reality (VR). It will be bringing its own Virtual Reality headset LeVR Cool 1 soon into the markets. The VR headset has just received the green signal from the Federal Communications Commission, which manages interstate and international communications through several mediums such as, radio, wire, television, satellite and cable.
Virtual Reality has been something incredible for tech-buffs, and has been an element which tests the frontiers of our imagination. The thing with Virtual Reality is moving towards a whole new level, and with Facebook betting on VR with Oculus Rift, other tech-giants have also stepped into the game by announcing their own VR headsets at tempting price brackets.
Following up, LeVR Cool 1 from LeTV looks something similar to the cardboard one that from Google. By placing a smartphone behind the lenses in the VR headset, a person can experience a whole new experience within few minutes. However, the only difference better the VR headset from LeTV and Google is the presence of straps with LeVR Cool 1. With the added functionality of straps, the VR headset will make it easier for the users to wear for a longer time period. Also, it’s likely, that the company will sell this VR headset with simple Bluetooth input device as well.
The hardware giant targets further expansion, and has hired the former MD of Fidelis Global, Eric Mika as the senior of open ecosystem, strategic alliances and partnerships. It will be a key position for company’s growth, as Mika’s leadership is expected to give a direct push to LeTV’s plans to bring content and hardware offerings with the U.S based launch of its digital storefront, LeMall.
LeTV began producing its own TV sets for offering access to their streaming services, and added Android-based smartphones into their hardware lineup earlier this year. In an earlier report, Microsoft’s teased its foldable color Virtual Reality Kit, which is likely to show up at the company hosted hackathon happening in Russia. It looks slightly better than Google Cardboard and is expected to give a whole new experience of immersive Virtual Reality.
