Syrians are on the Move (233)
Genocidal Assad Unleashes in Dara’a. In this Video, we witness more than 30 tanks heading towards the city. Why would an unarmed civilian population require more tanks? Is Assad about to level Dara’a? Is there a split in the armed forces in Dara’a that requires containment?
Dara’a and Jableh. The situation remains very desperate for both Dara’a and Jableh as the cities endure their 4th day of siege with many of the essential commodities interrupted like medical supplies, water, communications, and food. Many dead bodies litter the streets of Dara’a, reported by residents who have been able to use Jordanian cell phones to transmit information. The Assad regime wants to starve the people. Jableh, on the coast between Latakiya and Banias (RPS referred to it as on the outskirts of Damascus in an earlier post. We apologize for this oversight) is 100% Sunni town, which makes this siege look sectarian to any Syrian. Assad is destroying Syria.
Douma. Tanks have rolled into this Damascus suburbs this morning to siege the city. Demonstrations are starting to take place in different parts of Damascus in support of Dara’a and soon Douma.
Washington DC. A Video of a courageous young Syrian woman, 24-years old, addresses the Syrian people while demonstrating in front of the White House. She talks of freedom, pluralism, democracy, and human rights. She tells her sad story that she left Syria when she was 19. Her parents are prisoners in Syria unable to travel and her grandfather has disappeared in Assad’s jails in the 80′s never to hear from since. THIS IS THE FACE OF THE NEW SYRIA.
