Syrians are on the Move (259)
Dara’a. The army has entered the city and people are forbidden from leaving their homes. Snipers are seen on rooftops.
Damascus. A demonstration started from the Hassan Mosque in the Midan area. The “shabbeeha” break the door to attack the Mosque and beat the worshippers. Reports that seven large buses full with security men have descended unto the area to contain this demonstration. Another has started in the Barzeh area from the Grand Mosque and the Khalil Mosque. Another area Katna just started revolting from the Galayinni Mosque, and RPS is told the demonstration is quite large. In al-Kadam, south of Damascus, a new area to revolt, people are chanting in support of Dara’a. Other areas are stirring as well.
Homs. A large demonstration is underway in this besieged town. Heavy presence of security men around the Siteen street and the Bayada area. In a demonstration in Bab al-Siba’a, the “shabbeeha” fire live ammunition on peaceful demonstrators. Tanks have taken new positions inside the city. Security men entered the Omar Bin Kattab Mosque and beat the worshippers even before they start demonstrating to stop from exercising their rights to demonstrate. In the Omar Mosque, the regime brought their own Imam who prayed for Assad, the people just bolted chanting in support for Dara’a.
Aleppo. Thousands are demonstration in the Bab area and security men are using tear gas to disperse the crowd.
Hama. People are leaving the Mosques chanting against the regime. RPS is told the demonstrations are gaining momentum as people converg from different streets into one large march.
Jableh. A large demonstration of women started from the Mansoori Mosque.
Inkhil. A large demonstration against the regime just started and in support of Dara’a.
Jassem. A large demonstration just started at the Freedom Square in support of Dara’a.
Moadamiyet al-Sham. A large demonstration is underway in this town south of Damascus.
Namr. In the Hawran region and west of Jassem. A large demonstration in support of Dara’a and to topple the regime.
Al-Harra. In the Hawran region and northwest of Namr. Its people have gathered in support of Dara’a and to topple the regime.
Banias. The whole city seems to be revolting. Thousands are marching on the streets chanting against Assad and in support of Dara’a.
Kafarnabl. Thousands just started in this town south of Idlib. It won’t be long before Maarat an-Numan also starts.
Deir el-Zour. A large demonstration was met with violence by the security men around the Othman Mosque and the Abboud Circle.
Rekkah. A large demonstration in front of the Grand Mosque and the Rasheed Garden.
Al-Boukamal. A large demonstration in this town by the Iraqi borders chanting in support of Dara’aand to topple the regime.
al-Tabakkah. Another demonstration in this town for the first time. Next to Rekkah.
Qamoshli. A large demonstration has begun in support of the people of Dara’a.
Amouda. Another demonstration has started in this Kurdish also in support of Dara’a and to topple the regime.
Bansh. Next to Idlib. Thousands are out on the streets chanting in support of Dara’a and to topple the regime.
Saramin. East of Idlib. A demonstration, fro the first time, in this town started today.
Derbassyieh. Its people are all revolting. Thousands are out on the streets chanting in support of Dara’aand to topple the regime.
Ain-al-Arab/Kobani. A large demonstration there as well. People chanting to topple the regime.
Berlin. A large march is planned tomorrow. The Syrian community in Germany is quite large and many are converging on the city.
