    U know… it’s now a weapon…like a 2 edge sword coming after religion

According to the Associated Press, the American President Barak Obama said that while religion is a source for good around the world, people of all faiths have been willing to “hijack religion for their own murderous ends.” After mentioning the Christian crusades as an example, he pointed out that this hijacking of religion “is not unique to one group or one religion” and followed up by saying, “There is a tendency in us, a simple tendency that can pervert and distort our faith.” According to AP Obama called for all people of faiths to show humility about their beliefs and reject the idea that “God speaks only to us and doesn’t speak to others.”

In other words the principles of a single “true religion” are not compatible with moderate religions and we should view other main faiths such as Islam, Judaism or Christianity..etc.. as differing paths to God. This isolates religious fundamentalism as opposed to his religious ideals of tolerance.

So you think this speech of President Obama is fine and good because he is talking about violent extremism; however he is clearly confronting the idea of true religion. READ BETWEEN THE LINES
