Thousands of children kidnapped forced to be child soldiers

Tragic news coming out of the United Nations children’s agency who, according to a recently released report, state that hundreds of children have been kidnapped in South Sudan and then trained as child soldiers to fight in South Sudan’s civil war, a civil war which has seen forces loyal to President Salva Kiir fiercely fighting rebel forces, led by former Vice-President Riek Machar. Furthermore it is estimated that at least 12,000 children were used as child soldiers across South Sudan last year by both government and rebel sides.
