Well my long weekend turned into a home weekend warrior stay-cation. House projects galore, not least of which was pressure washing the entire house! Stay tuned for my miraculous encounters with a pressure washer…
For now, I have a new pic of our living room!

AFTER
The walls are done with Benjamin Moore’s Natura (non-VOC) line in a color called Saybrook Sage. All the furniture, with the exception of the bookcase that I got eons ago from the beloved Ikea, is scored from Craigslist. I love the randomness of what comes! It’s like fate, you either see it and are the lucky one that actually snatches it, or it wasn’t the one and you move on. I feel my house is a little cosmic in the sense. My sense of shopping is so unplanned in that way, I release a lot of control (while still sticking to aesthetic and quality standards) and lean into the flow of life. Yet another reminder to pay attention to what’s right under my nose. Not to mention the many perks of recycling household furnishings!!
Steady State Revolution http://steadystaterevolution.org explores the ideas of a sustainable economy.
