A new sensor to hit the market could quickly and cheaply detect mercury and other toxic metals in fish. The sensor relies on an analysis machine that could even be designed for home use and potentially sold as a small kitchen appliance. Compared to conventional machines which cost millions, the creators estimate the unit may cost less many home appliances. Researchers hope cheap testing will encourage groups to check waterways and fish more extensively to promote safer consumption. http://preventdisease.com/ https://www.facebook.com/pages/PreventDiseasecom/199701427498 https://twitter.com/#!/Prevent_Disease
