Private space is very important to energy-sensitive people, so plan to find a place to practice these techniques. Your space should be free of clutter and arranged so it allows energy to flow and not get stuck. For some really easy tips on how to create a beneficial space using the principles of feng shui, I suggest Tisha Morris’ book, 27 Things to Feng Shui Your Home.
If your space is used by other family members, you may need to cleanse your sacred space before you begin each session. I suggest smudging with sage, lighting incense or a candle, drumming, shaking a percussion rattle, or ringing a bell. Your sacred space will become your personal haven, so make it special. After several sessions, you may notice how positive energy has accumulated in your sacred space and welcomes you each time you enter.
Do you have a quiet place in your home where you can revive yourself spiritually? This is one of the most important things an empath can do to keep from being bombarded by detrimental energy in their environment.
The author, Yvonne Perry, is available as a spiritual coach. See http://weare1inspirit.com/services/coaching/ for information about a free 15-minute evaluation to see if coaching is right for you.
