It has long been known, Botox does not end in removing wrinkles on your face, there’s a point in time where a person really needs it. This toxin is used for lots of purposes aside from and more than getting rid of the signs of aging. Take this report from the Indiana New Center.
The reports reveal a 16 year old boy who goes by the name of Josh Zahm. He’s born suffering from cerebral palsy. What’s bad with this condition is that the muscles on the leg joints always go in to spasm which affects his ability to walk. It wasn’t until his 5th year of life before Zahm was able to walk his first steps.
Dr. Tom Lazoff his physician gives his patient Botox treatments. To make his leg muscles to relax, he gives about eight shots of Botox during his visit. As compared to complex surgeries and long months of recovery, the physician says it’s less a lot simpler and less invasive procedure.
His physician, Dr. Tom Lazoff, is treating the teen with Botox. He gives Zahm eight shots of Botox in his hamstrings, which causes the leg muscles to relax. It’s a much simpler and less invasive option to the painful surgeries it would take to artificially extend the tendons in his legs.
“In about that time, three weeks, he’ll notice decreased pain, decreased muscle spasms or tightness, and increased range of motion,” says Lazoff on the report.
“In about that time, three weeks, he’ll notice decreased pain, decreased muscle spasms or tightness, and increased range of motion,” Lazoff told the news source. So far, it seems to be working. Zahm says the treatments have made him feel “better than he has in years.”
“I am just amazed of what Botox can do these days,” says Dr. Trang Thuy Vo-Nguyen from http://drvfacialplastics.com/. “I think more studies should be done with regards to its functions as it’s a very promising one.”
Botox is more than just an anti-aging treatment; with the advanced technologies that we have people will soon be a witness to more things that it can do.
