After the Bollywood actor Salman Khan, the actor Om Puri is also landed in a legal trouble for allegedly smoking at a public place during a function in Rajupura. He reportedly smoked at a college in Rajpura, Punjab and authorities of the Patiala Health Department have started investigation.
Om Puri arrived Rajpura on Friday around 11 am to attend the ongoing film festival in Patel Memorial International College and remained in the college premises till 2:30 pm. Mr. Puri reportedly smoked during this time. After seeing photographs, where the Puri has been featured smoking while in the college, Patiala Health Department sent a show-cause notice to the actor.
However, Mr. Sanjeev Kalia, the principal of Patel Memorial International College stated that the actor Mr. Puri did not smoke at public place. A special team of the health department reached the local hotel where the actor boarded on Friday, but he had left for Mumbai. Then the team met the relatives of Om Puri to serve a show-cause notice on Puri but they said that he did not smoke at public place and refused to accept the notice.
Earlier, Salman Khan was penalized while shooting for his movie Bodyguard by the local administration for smoking at public place.
