The Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party which has a couple of MLA’s in the 40 member Goa Assembly had today withdrew its support to the coalition government in Goa which is led by the Congress Patrty, this is a move that comes less than a month ahead of the Assembly Polls that are scheduled at March 3.MGP President Mr. Deepak Dhavalikar had said the decision has been taken as per a resolution passed by the MPG’s highest decision making body, Central Committee.
Mr. Deepak also said that, The Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party which is the oldest regional outfit in the Goa, had forwarded it’s letters conveying its decision to Assembly Speaker Mr. Pratapsinh Rane, Chief Minister Mr. Digambar Kamat, Governor Mr. K Sankaranarayanan.
President of MPG also said that his party has finalised a pre poll alliance with the main opposition Party in the state BJP which will be officially announced later in the day.
