(Before It's News)

DEBKAfile was founded by a team of journalists in June 2000 as an independent Internet Web site, providing an intelligence and security news service. April 25, 2016, 9:25 AM (IDT)

The Israel Police on Monday boosted its forces in Jerusalem with thousands of policemen from around the country to provide security for the Jewish priestly blessing, known as “birkat hakohanim,” at the Western Wall. Tens of thousands of people are expected to participate in the prayer. The forces protecting the Western Wall area, the Temple Mount and the gates of the Old City have been reinforced with members of elite police units and the border police.

Our unique angle on these subjects – and strong intelligence dimension – has earned DEBKAfile a global reputation and a steady readership – which skyrockets in times of crisis.
