US alerts citizens of imminent terror threat in Turkey

The American embassy in Ankara on Wednesday sent an emergency message to its citizens in Turkey saying there is a credible and imminent threat of a terrorist attack in the country. It also said in the e-mailed statement that “The U.S. government continues to receive credible indications that terrorist groups are seeking opportunities to attack popular tourist destinations throughout Turkey. Foreign tourists in Turkey have been explicitly targeted by terrorist organizations.”
