A vehicle with two Palestinians broke through Israel's Oranit checkpoint near Qalqilya on Route 5 on Wednesday afternoon. The driver then stopped the vehicle, got out and fled along with the other Palestinian. One of them was captured by Israeli policemen manning the checkpoint. A bomb squad checked the vehicle to determine whether it was booby trapped.
