Iranian Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari announced construction has begun on two large naval zones and three bases along the southeastern Makran coast on the Oman Sea.These projects will give the Iranian Navy greater control over Persian Gulf oil tanker traffic from Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman.
