(Before It's News)

DEBKAfile was founded by a team of journalists in June 2000 as an independent Internet Web site, providing an intelligence and security news service. November 17, 2016, 4:08 PM (IDT)

The Kosovo Police said Wednesday night that over the last ten days it had arrested 19 activists from the Islamic State organization who are suspected of planning a series of terrorist attacks, including one they intended to carry out against Israel's national football team during its World Cup qualifying match in Albania last week. The suspects were found to be in possession of explosives, ammunition and a drone. Due to advance warning and concern over a possible attack, the November 11 match was switched at the last minute to an alternate stadium close to the Albanian capital Tirana where large numbers of policemen and many Israeli security guards protected the venue. The police said that the suspects were planning to strike targets in both Albania and Kosovo.

Our unique angle on these subjects – and strong intelligence dimension – has earned DEBKAfile a global reputation and a steady readership – which skyrockets in times of crisis.
