(Before It's News)

DEBKAfile was founded by a team of journalists in June 2000 as an independent Internet Web site, providing an intelligence and security news service. March 6, 2017, 12:43 PM (IDT)

“Dozens” of militants from across the border stormed security posts ‎in Pakistan's Mohmand Agency on Sunday night. Pakistan's military said 10 terorists were killed in the ensuing exchange of fire and again demanded that Afghan authorities strengthen surveillance in border areas. Pakistan summoned the deputy head of the Afghan embassy in Islamabad to protest against the raid, urging Afghanistan to crack down on the terrorists operating on its side of the border. A Pakistani Taliban faction claimed responsibility for the raid, saying it was part of a campaign launched last month to target “enemies of Islam” across Pakistan.

Our unique angle on these subjects – and strong intelligence dimension – has earned DEBKAfile a global reputation and a steady readership – which skyrockets in times of crisis.
