(Before It's News)

DEBKAfile was founded by a team of journalists in June 2000 as an independent Internet Web site, providing an intelligence and security news service. March 20, 2017, 10:50 AM (IDT)

US officials have begun interviewing and taking fingerprints of asylum seekers in an Australian-run camp in the Pacific island of Nauru, who seek resettlement in the US. President Obama agreed to accept 1,500 refugees held by Australia in Papua New Guinea and Nauru. In return, Canberra agreed to resettled refugees from El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras. President Trump called this a dumb deal but said he would stand by it.

Our unique angle on these subjects – and strong intelligence dimension – has earned DEBKAfile a global reputation and a steady readership – which skyrockets in times of crisis.
