(Before It's News)

DEBKAfile was founded by a team of journalists in June 2000 as an independent Internet Web site, providing an intelligence and security news service. April 4, 2017, 5:12 PM (IDT)

The Syrian army fired at least 2 surface missiles at the Idlib hospital caring for the casualties of its suspected chemical attack on rebel targets at Khan Shaykhun earlier Tuesday. At least 100 were killed in the attack, many of them young children, and hundreds injured. Syrian and Russian officials strongly denied respomsiblity for dropping chemical bombs by air as opposition propaganda. After pictures of the atrocity were circulated on social media, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu joined world leaders in condemnation. He said these horrific spectacles that must outrage anyone. The EU Foreign Executive Federica Mogherini accused Bashar Assad of a war crime; Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said the attack was a crime against humanity and the French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault called for an urgent UN Security Council meeting.

Our unique angle on these subjects – and strong intelligence dimension – has earned DEBKAfile a global reputation and a steady readership – which skyrockets in times of crisis.
