2 active faults found in Nagoya city

Researcher. Sugito from Graduate School of Environmental Studies, Nagoya University found two active faults running right under the urban area of Nagoya city. Nagoya city is the 4th biggest city in Japan, the population is 2,266,517 at the moment of 10/1/2011.
The research team analyzed aerial photograph to confirm the active faults from the geographical features.
They presume the western fault has moved several times in past to cause 10m height cliff.
It may cause earthquake of over M7. The great Hanshin earthquake in 1995 was M7.3 to have caused over 6,000 victims.
