On 6/21/2013, Tepco announced they found another leakage from the desalination system.
According to Tepco, the leaking water contains 26 giga Bq/m3 of all β but the volume is 250L, it’s safely retained in the warehouse.
(cf. New leakage from desalination system, 26 giga Bq/m3 of all β, Tepco, “250L, no overflow from the warehouse” [URL])
(cf, Former Fukushima worker, “β dose of the new leaking desalination system is up to 1~2 Sv/h.” [URL 2])
However Cs-137 has been also measured from the leaking sample of the pipe out of the desalination system.
This means the highly contaminated water “may” also be leaking from the outside of the warehouse. However, there is no explanation about this reading nor media coverage for some reason.
On 6/18/2013, Fukushima Diary reported “Tepco reports different nuclide analysis data from Japanese version and English version [URL 3]”
It’s been over 5 days. Cs-137 has been continuously detected. (2,000 Bq/m3 on 6/21/2013)
