According to Nuclear Regulation Authority, the height of monitoring posts in 47 prefectures are unusually high.
In Tokyo, the monitoring post is installed at 18m from the ground. It is not announced when it was installed.
They convert the readings to the ones at 1m from the ground but the conversion rate is not announced either.
The highest monitoring post is at 39.4m from the ground in Hiroshima.
In Fukushima prefecture, they state the original monitoring post is in Futaba county, where is still under evacuation order.
They therefore installed a new monitoring post in Fukushima city but it’s at 2.5m from the ground too. (0.58 μSv/h, 0.74 μSv/h at 1m from the ground.)
Also, the monitoring post in Kagoshima prefecture is at 6.5 m from the ground. From their conversion, the monitoring post indicates 0.033 μSv/h but it decreases to be 0.031 μSv/h at 1m from the ground for some reason.
