(Before It's News)

On 12/15/2015, Tepco reported the Strontium-90 density jumped up at one of the observation wells near Reactor 2.

This well is to detect the radiation level in groundwater, situated between the port and Reactor 2.

The highest density detected from this well was 7,100,000 Bq/m3, which the sampling date was this October. However the latest reading was 12,000,000 Bq/m3, which is 1.69 times higher the previous reading. This sample was collected on 11/3/2015. They keep measuring the highest density of Sr-90 for 2 continuous months.

Sr-90 was detected from all the observation wells in this area.
