Recently, my colleague James and I had the opportunity to attend the 2017 YAL Spring Summit in Boston. James wasted no time in making as many contacts and connections as he possibly could with other attendees and sponsors. I talked to quite a few myself, though I was more focused on the speakers and the various lectures, particularly those dealing with the tools of persuasion and in particular social media. Getting our picture taken with my personal hero former Congressman Ron Paul was the icing on the cake. All-in-all, we picked up many fantastic contacts and critical pieces of information which we are excited to utilize for growing our new YAL chapter at Fitchburg.
The chapter itself has finally been activated from YAL's side. Recruiting James to the team was the last piece of that puzzle. And our next step is push forward with gaining official campus recognition. We're in the home stretch of the school year and we've only got two weeks to get the final signatures and paperwork together if we want our club to be approved and ready to go right out of the gate for next year. We've registered tabling space with the university and between our complimentary skill sets I'm confident we'll get this done.
