Free Speech Ball at the University of New Hampshire

The Young Americans for Liberty chapter at UNH held a free speech ball event in order to raise awareness of our campus' restrictive speech policies. We gained 20 signatures in support of free speech and had great discussions with students about the First Amendment. We held this event without requesting a permit because the First Amendment is our permit to host events on a public university. We had the dean of the liberal arts college walk by our free speech ball and say, “Nice beach ball you got there.” Overall the event was a success and I'm glad we were able to spread the message of freedom of speech on campus.
