A 24-year-old Tibetan nomad, identified as Jopa, set himself on fire on Friday in the Tibetan region of China's southwestern Sichuan province, according to rights group Free Tibet. This is the third self-immolation by Tibetans this week to protest against Chinese regime rule. Free Tibet reported Chinese military and security were quickly deployed to the township of Meruma in Aba county, where the incident occurred. Joba is believed to be severely injured and may not survive. On Tuesday, a 26-year-old mother of two, died after setting herself on fire outside Tso Monastery.
