In today's China news, talks were held between Egyptian President Mohamed Mursi and Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao in Beijing. Chinese leaders had generally comfortable relations with former president Hosni Mubarak's government. But ties with Mursi and his Muslim Brotherhood-associated government have been less clear. A US State Department spokeswoman speaking in Washington on Tuesday was hard pressed to give a direct answer to the ownership of an Diaoyu, also known as Senkaku, island group in the East China Sea.
