Six lion cubs are the new joy of Fuji Safari Park, and visitors are travelling from all over for a chance to see the young felines. Located two hours west of Tokyo, the zoo is giving visitors an opportunity for a photo op with the cubs, and many have flocked to take advantage. [Daisuke Takeuchi, Fuji Safari Park Vice-Director of Operations Department]: “We have a lot of other animal babies born every year, such as zebras or giraffes, but lion cubs are incredibly popular and as such, there are people who've come from many hours away. And they come mainly just to see the newborn cubs.” The park is in the midst of a feline boom, recently showing off some tiger and jaguar cubs. Minutes after they went on sale, tickets to play with these tigers sold out . The lions, who range between a week to three months old, have grabbed the spotlight. [Kayo Matsumoto, 34-year-old Visitor]: “They're so small, even smaller than I expected. They were fluffy, and their eyes were big and they were just cute.” Six-year-old Rino Takahashi travelled four hours to see these cubs. [Rino Takahashi, 6-year-old Visitor]: “They were cute!” Two of the cubs are on loan from elsewhere, as Fuji Safari Park has experience with raising lions. The big cats will soon grow to be much larger and more aggressive, which is common knowledge to most. [Chisa Mitsukuri, 7-year-old Visitor]: “(If I had it at home) It would be too scary, and I couldn't go back home.” Park officials say that at three-months-old, the lions …
