It's in response to a report by the New York Times that alleged Wen's family controlled $2.7 billion in assets. Wen's family have denied the claims. Tibet's spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, has urged incoming Chinese leaders to undertake political reform, saying the regime's current heavy handed approach in Tibet has not worked. A heavy snowstorm that struck northern China over the weekend has left three Japanese tourists dead.
