Ahead of the release of video game “Halo 4,” hundreds of people turned out on Monday (November 5) to see an aerial lighting performance visible for miles over London. Celebrating the launch of one of the year's most highly anticipated games a 50ft diameter “Halo 4″ Glyph symbol was flown over the British capital. Weighing over 3 tons super fans of the game were able to watch it fly over some of the world's most iconic landmarks including Canary Wharf and Tower Bridge as it made its way down over the Thames River. Becky Hicks traveled from Kent to see the spectacle: [Becky Hicks, Fan from Chatham, Kent]: “We went to this special event by London Bridge. We got there about half four ,so we've been around since then . We got the special bus over here .I am here because I really enjoy Halo.” “Halo 4″ which is the start of a new saga in the highly popular Halo franchise, went on sale at midnight across 40 countries. In London keen fans waited eagerly outside retailer GAME at Westfield Stratford to be one of the first to get a copy. [Flora Stafanos, American Tourist and Fan]: “I just love everything about Halo. I think the whole franchise is incredible and the fact that it has got different developers but it still retains the Halo essence is awesome.” BAFTA award winning film maker David Fincher directed the game's trailer, while American talk show host Conan O'Brien and actor Andy Richter voice two of the game's characters.
