Full story: New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced Wednesday that only vehicles carrying three or more people would be allowed into Manhattan. The move is an attempt to cut down on congestion and is expected to last until Friday (November 2). [Michael Bloomberg, New York City Mayor]: “If you are coming in through the Lincoln Tunnel through, into Manhattan through the Henry Hudson Bridge and the Triborough Bridge or any of the four East River bridges, the Queensboro, Manhattan, Williamsburg and Brooklyn, you have to have three people in the car. I know it is inconvenient for a lot of people, but the bottom line is the streets can only handle so much.” Bloomberg said that approximately 643 thousand residents throughout New York City are still without power. But he emphasized that city officials are working around the clock to get the city back up and running.
