(Before It's News)

As China's technological prowess becomes more and more cutting edge the humble TV set is quickly adopting new innovations in the industry. Almost every family in China has a TV and there are now around 100 million digital cable users. Shangyu County in Zhejiang Province resident Chen Dexing says he loves watching TV and he is quick to snap up the latest model as soon as it hits the market. He still has all his old televisions stored away, even his original small black and white model right through to a big color LCD. China now broadcasts in digital, paving the way for 3D and ultra high definition TVs and some enterprising back-yarders have even added wireless internet, computerized applications and even voice control command functions. [Lin Maoxiang, Chairman, Changhong Multimedia Industry Company]:”The TV voice control is convenient for customers to use at night, or for the aged who cannot see clearly.” By 2015, analog TV signals will have been phased out, broadcasting in digital alone. And in the next 10 years, China's digital TV industry will be worth some three hundred billion US dollars.
