whispered words align
reaching
hands clasp
doing what we dare

heartstrings
plucked without a care
this fire
burning
young and fresh and new
falling
helpless
nothing we can do
running
canine
green fields and black fur
flurried
movement
our feet in a blur
blue sky
cool breeze
pull you close to me
your lips
meet mine
passion flowing free
your sweet
beauty
always effortless
your words
to me
brim with tenderness
lens flared
photos
fragrance of fresh grass
green blades
just cut
fast the moments pass
arms round
bodies
tumbling to the ground
giggling
in a
pile, what a sound
warm wet
dog tongue
on my cheek so gross
you wipe
my face
laughing, lying close
naked
bodies
nestled under sheets
safety
softness
throbbing, our heartbeats
singing
heartstrings
plucked with perfect grace
sweat beads
crystals
glistening on your face
our love
grows now
branching like a tree
this is
perfect
just you here with me
i want
to break
up you said to me
after
you came
back from overseas
shock ran
through me
froze me solid through
tears in
your eyes
nothing i could do
distant
your heart
mine was beating so
no love
in yours
mine did overflow
months passed
still i’m
haunted by your face
my heart
empty
warmth has fled this place
afraid
to trust
thought that I was safe
holes through
heart strings
blasted by the strafe
this raw
chasm
empty like a cave
you are
long gone
nothing left to save.
