In a statement faxed to media, the Palestinian embassy reacted to some =

Iranian newspapers quoting Jibril Al-Rajoub, a senior Fatah leader that =

Abbas had set pre-conditions for his visit to Tehran.

In al-Rajoub=92s remarks there was no sign of a shift from his previous =

stands, the statement said, terming the remarks attributed to him as =

=91incorrect=92.

It hailed Iran=92s support for the Palestinian nation and said Iran has alw=
ays =

been the main supporter of UN resolutions calling for formation of an =

independent Palestinian state with Beit ol-Moqaddas as its capital.

The Palestinian government has never asked Iran to recognize the Zionist =

regime and will never do so in the future, the statement said.
