PM Netanyahu Speaks with New Italian PM Matteo Renzi

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, last night (Sunday, 23 February 2014),
spoke with new Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi and congratulated him on
taking up office. The two prime ministers expressed appreciation for the
productive cooperation between Israel and Italy as well as the hope that it
will be enhanced and expand to other areas including technology.

Prime Minister Netanyahu stressed Italy’s important role in the
international arena and its support in thwarting boycotts against Israel. He
invited Prime Minister Renzi to visit Israel; the two expressed their hope
to hold an additional round of meetings between the two governments.
