Weekly Commentary: Have We Really Dropped the Two-State Delusion?
“Both countries re-stated their support for a directly negotiated peace
between Israel and the Palestinians. Australia affirmed its support for a
two-state solution.”
Joint statement by Australian PM Turnbull and Israeli PM Netanyahu 23
February, 2017
So “Australia affirmed its support for a two-state solution”.
Israel did not.
We are in an interesting ongoing dynamic.
Pretty much every time Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and his Government
does something that is not popular overseas he attributes it to domestic
considerations.
Coalition partner Bayit Yehudi headed by Naftali Bennett – and even Likud
ministers and MKs are to “blame” for Israel’s policies.
I would like to suggest that Israel would be better off if its most eloquent
spokesman, Mr. Netanyahu, were to explain and defend Government policy
rather than excuse it.

You might have recognised it, as was Israel recognised.
So a Palestinian state already existed… at the moment is a misery.
One state, no state.
