Last year at the SEMA car show in Vegas, Chevrolet unveiled its COPO Camaro concept car. Well it has just been released that Chevrolet will make this car a production reality! However, it will only be 69 people that will get a chance to own one. Why 69? This is in celebration of the 69 COPO Camaro ZL1s that were built in 1969. Chevrolet wants to keep the same number for this drag-strip-only car.
There are three engine choices with this car: a 427-cubic-inche V8 for AA Stock racing, a 327-cubic-inch V8 with a 4.0-liter Supercharger for A Stock racing, as well as a 327 cubic-inch engine but with a 2.9-liter supercharger for B Stock. You can get all three engines if you wish. Chevrolet will install one of them and then provide the other two with matching numbers.
There are three color schemes included with this car: a Metallic White, Inferno Orange Metallic, and a Chevy Racing Blue. The price of this car will start at $89,000. So if you are wondering how you can be one of the sixty-nine to get this car, we are wondering the same thing. Chevrolet has not said as of yet. We are also not clear on how many slots are available.
